Not blogging as much these days!! :)
Went with a friend to see ‘Un Prophete‘ last week. Very good French crime movie, directed by Jacques Audiard.
Well worth a venture out and if you live in London go to see it at the Curzon Soho. Nice indie cinema.

Myself and a friend went to see a very good movie today, “The Hurt Locker“. It’s about a US Army bomb squad in Iraq and is directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Highly recommended. :)

Went to see a very good film today in the IFI, Dublin. Called “Rescue Dawn“, it tells the story of a fighter pilot who is shot down on his first mission to Laos during the start of the Viet Nam war, and his experience of being a POW in a local militia camp. The local militia are not nice people btw.
Christian Bale plays the pilot, Dieter Dengler and gives another brilliant performance in this role. Film is based on true events and is directed by German director Werner Herzog.

Slipped out to the cinema last night to watch the late showing of the film Zodiac. Its a very good film and I’d highly recommend it.
Directed by one of my favourite directors David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club), it tells the story of the unresolved case of the Zodiac killer and how the obsession of finding the killer affected the lives of the investigators – primarily a San Francisco cop, a reporter and a cartoonist.
The film is based on the books “Zodiac” and “Zodiac Unleashed” by the cartoonist turned writer Robert Graysmith. He is played in the film by Jake Gyllenhal.

Went to see Spider-Man 3 last night. More story then action in this one (even though there are more villains), but when the action kicks in it’s brilliant and nearly on par with Spider-Man 2 (or 2.1 if you’ve bought the DVD).
So I’d recommend you go see it as it’s definitely worth the admission fee alone :)
