There is an update (beta) release for RTComm (2.1-6). Refresh your Application Catalogues, browse to ‘Check for updates’ and the update should be there.
BTW, you don’t have to enable red pill mode to install this update.

There is a new beta release (v.2) of the Internet Communications Software for the N800/N810. This release allows you to create your AIM/MSN etc. accounts using the N800/N810′s integrated IM software. I reckon this is great integration for the tablet along with the Modest email client.

If you run into difficulties installing this beta release, head to the itT’s forums for help. That’s what I did! :-)
